The Cheyenne Firecracker 5K Run now in its second year, unites the community in building awareness of people battling to meet their everyday basic needs. All proceeds from the race stay in our community and benefit Laramie County families.

Needs Inc. food pantry will use the proceeds from this race to help those who struggle with hunger. Proceeds will help children who are hungry and poorly nourished. Thirty-eight percent of the students In Laramie County School District #1 qualified for free or reduced meals. In Wyoming,1 in 8 households worry about where they will find their next meal. In addressing this hunger, Needs partners with the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, Needs receives support from United Way, Walmart, the Wyoming Community Foundation, businesses, the faith community, and members of our community.
